Problem
How might we design a new range of vaping products and experiences that not only meet evolving preferences and the customer's needs but also align with Blu Vape's rebranding efforts to promote new products and services?
Solution
We propose to conduct user research to understand shifting preferences and needs in the vaping market. Based on insights gained, we will ideate and prototype innovative vaping products and experiences that resonate with customers and support Blu Vape's rebranding objectives.
Sprint Design Process
5 Days to create a product that aligns with Blu Vape's re-branding guidelines.
Day 1: Understand
To kick off the design sprint, a cross-functional team, including product managers, designers, and marketing experts was assembled and we mapped out all the data and insights provided by the research team. With the help of the user persona, we were able to kick off.
Day 2: Diverge
We engaged in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas related to customer loyalty, product trials, and relationships with tobacconists. Individual sketches were produced and a selection was made identifying the most promising ones.
Day 3: Decide
I collaborated to create detailed sketches of the chosen ideas. Each team member voted on the solutions they believed were most viable and would have the most impact.
Day 4: Prototype
Next, I created interactive prototypes of the proposed solutions, focusing on user experience and functionality. I built a demo for each of the three objectives: Customer loyalty program, Product trial promotion, and Tobacconist partnerships.
Day 5 Test
Current customers and tobacconists were invited to test the prototypes. All feedback was evaluated for the feasibility and potential success of each solution. A solution was selected to implement and we established a road map for execution.
Outcome
Through the implementation of our Sprint, we achieved significant outcomes that positively impacted Blu Vape's business objectives, with solutions in the following:
- Enhanced Customer Loyalty: A new customer loyalty program was designed.
- Promotion of New Trials: An engaging marketing campaign was developed.
- Stronger Relationships with Tobacconists: Blu Vape outlined a comprehensive support program for tobacconists.
